Following agreement on the Human Trafficking Bill, which now seems to be progressing through Congress, Mitch McConnell has made positive noises about the approval of Loretta Lynch to Attorney General. After weeks of such logjam, particularly in the Senate, this is a positive move forwards and one worth have a quick read of.

Linked to this is the Washington Post article (link below) outlining how the 114th Congress has actually worked more days that any of the last two Congressional sessions over an equivalent time, and that they do now actually be appearing to ‘get stuff done’, which seemed somewhat unlikely after Republicans took the leadership in both houses in January. Useful example of where divided government does not always mean gridlock.
