The Tories and Social Media

It was revealed this week that the Conservative Party are spending £100,000 (of party funds) on Facebook every month. With the growth of the internet, the rise of e-democracy has become a staple of many students’ essays. However they rarely have the specific evidence to back up their argument. This volume of spending would seem to suggest that the Tories can see the value in the use of social media as the election approaches.
