Cameron is considering easing back the ban on hunting introduced under the New Labour Government. An outstanding example for a range of issues:
– Factionalism within parties – 27 anti-hunting Tory MPs have formed a ‘faction’ called the Blue Fox to oppose this move
– Backbench power – these MPs are threatening to revolt against Cameron if he tries this
– Party ideology – after the wake of ‘beer-and-bingo-gate’, it could be argued this is another example of the ‘them and us’ culture that perhaps still remains within the Conservative Party.
