A Budget Deal!

As the end of this Congressional session approaches, some form of peace has broken out and a budget deal has been struck. Having been accused of ‘kicking the can down the road’ with regards to the budget deal, there was the potential for another government shutdown in January; this now seems to have been averted.

Given that your current units of study are Parties and Congress, it is notable to finally see some bipartisanship in this Congress…

“In a rare display of bipartisan cooperation, House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) stood side by side in the Capitol with Senate Budget Committee Chairman Patty Murray (D-Wash.) to announce the deal, which would cancel half of the sharp spending cuts known as the sequester for the current fiscal year.”
