Tory EU Rebellion in Parliament

Tory EU Rebellion in Parliament

15 May 13 – More than 100 Tory MPs ‘express regret’ at lack of referendum bill

Further to the earlier post of the article from Philip Cowley about the rebellions under the Coalition, this article shows the growing rebellious nature of the right wing of the Conservative Party. This is a great example for the relationship between government and Parliament (think about scrutiny etc) as well as for Parties in Unit 1.It would also suggest a weakness in the leadership of government and perhaps could be used to show that the PM is not a President.
