7 May 2013 – David Cameron ‘to visit China this year’
It is not uncommon to come across the ‘PM as a President’ question and you always need examples. The best evidence for this argument usually come from foreign policy, as here the PM is portrayed as representing the UK. This therefore gives you some good evidence with Cameron planning a visit to China, following his meeting with the Dalai Lama which angered the Chinese. Remember, Cameron is the Head of Government and not the Head of State (the Queen!) however these sorts of trips, and the way the media portrays them, make the PM look very presidential.
